MINI premia la creatività a ITS – International Talent Support
Sabato 14 luglio, in occasione del weekend conclusivo di ITS – International Talent Support e nell’ambito della sezione ITS#PHOTO, MINI ha consegnato il MINIInternational Award al giovane fotografo Jing Quek, 24 anni, nato a Singapore e studente presso la SVA - School of Visual Arts di New York.

Il riconoscimento, un premio riservato al vincitore del concorso dedicato ai giovani talenti delle migliori scuole internazionali di fotografia, è stato consegnato presso l’ex Pescheria Centrale di Trieste durante una serata che ha avuto tra i suoi ospiti anche l’esuberante Victoria Cabello, presente in qualità di madrina.

È questa la terza partecipazione consecutiva di MINI a ITS – International Talent Support, il concorso internazionale per giovani creativi creato e sviluppato da EVE in collaborazione con DIESEL e YKK, e suddiviso in tre sezioni principali, ITS#FASHION, ITS#PHOTO e ITS#ACCESSORIES.

Ad assegnare il riconoscimento la giuria di esperti di ITS#PHOTO, composta da art director, curatori di mostre e altri specialisti tra cui Anne Urbauer, editor in chief di MINIInternational e Cecilia Dean, editor di Visionaire. Dopo aver valutato i 13 progetti finalisti provenienti da sette prestigiose scuole di fotografia di Italia, Germania, Olanda, Svizzera, Regno Unito e Stati Uniti, la giuria ha deciso di premiare con il MINIInternational Award il giovane fotografo Jing Quek, la cui opera si è ispirata al tema proposto “Uniqueness is…”. Quek ha convinto la giuria con la sua interpretazione dell’unicità, una “…individuality within similarity”, raccontata attraverso i suoi scatti, in cui ogni singolo individuo scongiura il rischio di perdersi nella massa mostrando la propria personale essenza.

A lui andrà un premio in denaro di 10.000 euro el’opportunità di realizzare un servizio fotografico nella città protagonista di una futura edizione di MINIInternational, il magazine internazionale di cultura metropolitana che tratta di design, estetica, architettura, moda, musica, letteratura e arte.

Coloro che posseggono un multimedia computer Nokia Nseries oltre a poter scattare ed editare le foto con un unico dispositivo, grazie a Nokia XpressPrint potranno ordinarne direttamente la stampa. Inoltre, i clienti potranno stampare le proprie foto non solo su carta fotografica, ma anche su adesivi, tazze, puzzle e magliette, e farne simpatiche e personali idee regalo da inviare a casa degli amici.
